Found this pod a few years ago and it’s on the top of my list of all time listens. I love the deep dive structure and the interviews at the end of the season in some of the newer seasons. Listen is you love to learn!

This was my favorite podcast. When the paywall announcement came out, I was okay with it because it was stated that it was only for older episodes. I just listened to 3 episodes of a recent series only to find out that the fourth is a “bonus” and is behind a paywall.

If you watch the news then these stories are just a recap. Did not learn anything new. I wish it was more like British scandal where there are two people to interact. While he has a good voice, when he is quoting someone during a story, it’s the same inflection so it comes out flat (unlike British scandal- it is more theatrical and entertaining)example: the Snowden story he was narrating dialogue between Snowden and a female British lady and it was his regular voice as if he didn’t even try to distinguish between the two voices. The stories should be less current and more from the history of USA so people can learn something rather than “oh yeah, I remember seeing the Thanos situation on tv a few years back…”
Great until the paywall.
