Good Hang with Amy Poehler

As a fan, I can’t get enough of this podcast. I’m new to the podcast world and had a hard time finding one that really fit me. Most were either too overstimulating (hard pass) or purely educational (which I do enjoy). Then along came Amy and her podcast masterpiece. It feels like I’m hanging out with all the people I admire and wish I could grab coffee with. This show has made me laugh again, smile more, and feel truly connected. Thank you for creating this. Can’t wait for the next episode!

When Amy is firing on all cylinders with a funny, clever guest, this pod is such a wonderful listen! However, the weird gen z integrations like Renee Rapp or Dakota Johnson aren’t worth listening to. Nothing against those ladies, their gen or the people who enjoy that kind of teen banter vs. conversation, but they break the format of this show. You can feel Amy fighting to keep the conversation on the rails and instill some humor in the otherwise juvenile chat. Would recommend sticking to the veterans or finding young folks who can actually hold their own with the a seasoned vet like Amy.

Good Hang has been the reminder I’ve needed. I love the banter and play with each guest and Amy’s ability to interview with complete curiosity, it makes the guest comfortable which then transfers to the listening audience. An absolute joy just to hang for an hour and take your mind off the weight of the world. It’s inspired me to reach out to more friends and connect and I swear it’s because I’m envious of the play you witness while listening. I too want to laugh and be silly with other humans. It has also reminded me of the joy that is always waiting for us on the surface of everything, we just need to be willing to share it. Thank you Amy for giving your 25% to this show, even your 25 is a solid 100 and we’re lucky to be part of it in such a close and meaningful way.
