I met Ericka at a college lecture they gave years ago in 2018 and I have been following ever since. She and Ebony have such insightful and honest voices that are so necessary. I’d like to hear their takes on everything. As a young black woman, refugee, just a being who’s struggling navigating life in America constantly being gaslit by the state of world your words are so refreshing and affirming. Thank you both so much for your labor and the love you have poured in this project.
LOVE

I love this podcast so much. They are very authentic to who they are and what they stand for. Ebony’s accent makes it feel like I’m chatting with my friends about the deep things that not too many people like to discuss. (West Oakland native here) The humor that they throw in there so naturally makes the harshness of the topics easy to listen and learn from. They are very educated and don’t play. LOL which I appreciate, because the discussions really allow deep reflection and personal work to take place within ourselves that can then extend outwards. LOVE YALLL one of the books that radicalized me: Unforgetting: A Memoir of Family, Migration, Gangs, and Revolution in the Americas by Roberto Lovato
Doing it for the Culture!

This podcast is not for the faint of heart. Ericka and Ebony pulls listeners into complex conversations about decolonization and the culture, taking no prisoners including your favs. I admire their tenacity and appreciate their perspectives as they inspire me to hold my ground when speaking on radical politics. Chef’s kiss!
Fantastic show

I appreciate the constant challenging of common mindsets that we have within the Black community. I’m really that you spoke on the Black businesses within big box stores that rolled back DEI and our unhealthy fixation on comfort instead of prioritizing more ethical consumption, even if it’s inconvenient
